Tap Magician fully compatible spares for the John Lewis Leap Kitchen Mixer Monobloc tap 80705017
If your tap is leaking/dripping out of the spout then it is time to replace the cartridges.

Watch video below for step by step tutorial how to replace the tap cartridges

When you remove your old valve from the tap the bush usually remains inside the tap block however sometimes it comes out together with the valve. If the valve is stuck inside the bush you can try to separate them. If you are unable to separate the valve from the bush then you will need to purchase the valve together with the bush. (Bush is our code SB27, original code 3868R)

The John Lewis Leap tap cartridge has 28 splines known by code 2552R. You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side, If you require both then you can select "Pair"

If your tap is leaking from the neck (where the spout joins the tap body) then the seals inside the spout need replacing. When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a silicone grease. The original O'ring kit is known by 3668R 1260R

If you require a new handle then you can purchase our SH59R which is compatible with 3259R (please note our handles do not have H or C on them) This comes with a screw. If you need a screw separately for the handle this is our SS81-S.

If you require a new antisplasher /aerator this is our part SR63C/CB (available in Chrome or brushed) Original codes known by 133.0068.762 SP1263 /1263R your original part may have Neoperl stamped around the edge.

You can find the Leap tap / instruction diagram below.
John Lewis Leap Frequently asked questions

How to I remove the John Lewis Leap tap handle?
Use 2mm allen key to undo handle. The grub screw is located on the underside of the handle. You can pull the lever forwards to access the screw at the back if you need more space.

How do I know if need the adaptor bush?
Until you remove the cartridge from the tap you will not know if you need this part. This is because sometimes the bush gets corroded to the tap and remains in the tap body, and other times it comes out corroded to the tap cartridge.

Can I remove the adaptor bush from the old cartridge?
Yes you can but it can be very hard to remove due to corrosion. You can try using very hot water, followed by cold water over it, to help break the corrosion seal. The bush unscrews from the cartridge anticlockwise. You will likely ed to use some grips or put it in a vice to remove it. If you cannot separate it you will need to replace the bush.

How do I remove the spout and replace the o'rings inside the spout?
Use 2.5mm allen key to undo grub screw at the back holding the spout in place. pull spout up and out of the tap body. You can watch our How to video above.

What size spanner do I need to remove the Leap tap handle?
You will need a 17mm or an adjustable spanner

What will stop my John Lewis Leap tap dripping?
If your tap is dripping out of the spout then you need to replace the ceramic cartridges. If you have isolation valves under the sink you can work out which side (hot or cold) is dripping. Otherwise its best to replace both at the same time.

Tap Valves can be known by glands, inserts, ceramic disc cartridge, 1/4 turn tap cartridge,
